The Household is the foundation of Men of Iron. Based upon the premise of the middle ages that within each castle was a household that functioned independently but was part of the larger kingdom of its time.
In the modern sense of Men of Iron, each household or house is based at a local church where a body of men come together to fellowship in a unique way. Household meetings are monthly gatherings of knights and those who are on the path to becoming a knight. Here you will find instruction on becoming a gentleman, the rules of courtesy, instruction in marshal combat and tournament, impromptu challenges and development of young and seasoned men into knights in service to the King of Kings.

To officially establish and charter your household, you will need to complete the Men of Iron Household Application and submit it to the realm. This is an annual charter that runs from October 1st- September 30th of each year. Household applications are found on the Forms page of this website.
This application will need to be signed the senior pastor of the sponsor church. This is important as he will be signing that he agrees with the doctrinal stance for a Men of Iron household, to provide oversight for the household operating at his church and that the leadership of that household agrees to follow the policies and guidelines of Men of Iron.
The Head of the Household will also sign the application verifying that he has discussed the household with his pastor and that he has reviewed the essentials of Men of Iron with his pastor.
After filling out the application for establishing a household, it should be forwarded via physical mail or email to the address provided on the application along with the charter fee.
The Men of Iron Doctrinal Position
A Men of Iron household can be established at any Bible believing church that agrees with the following doctrinal positions:
– Believe that the Scriptures are the Inspired Word of God, given through inspiration of the Holy Spirit to men for the edification and training of believers and the church.
– Believe that there is only one true God in three distinct persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.
– Believe that Jesus is the Son of the Most High God who came to earth as a man, gave up his life for the salvation of mankind, resurrected from death and now sits at the right hand of the Father.
– Believe that men were created for fellowship with the Father but because of sin and disobedience we are fallen and can only be brought to salvation and the forgiveness of sin that comes from the blood of Jesus sacrifice on the cross.
– Believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation and is the soon coming King and Lord of all creation.-

There are more than just household meetings. Work meetings are a different type of household meeting. These are held occasionally to assist members with projects they may be working on. These typically last 4-5 hours or longer depending on the project. There is the Tournament practice meeting that will allow members to develop their skills with a battle axe, archery, cross bow and event the sword and shield.
Every household is encouraged to hold at least two feasts per year: The Twelfth Night feast and the Mid Summers feast. The Twelfth Night feast is the traditional Christmas celebration feast held in January of each year and dates back to the middle ages with roots dating back to the Roman era. The Mid Summers Feast is a mid year feast to celebrate the favor of our Lord and King Jesus for his blessings to His people. At either feast you will find lots of food and great fellowship with some of the finest men in the realm!
