Why should you become a member of Men of Iron?
First, it connects you with every other member of Men of Iron. When you become a part of something larger, it brings a sense of belonging like nothing else can and you are part of a brotherhood of like-minded followers of Christ.
Secondly, becoming an official part of Men of Iron will strengthen the ministry of Men of Iron. As a member, it will grant access to parts of Men of Iron that non members will not be able to receive such as participation in events and the ability to advance within the organization.
There are two types of memberships available, the basic membership and the premium membership.
The Basic Membership
-Able to attend a Quest for the Cross event.
-Receive annual Challenge beads.
-Participate in the Bead Challenges.
-Apply for advancement levels and charter of arms.
-Serve in leadership roles above the local household
-Access to limited restricted media for active basic members of Men of Iron.
-Participate in state and national level events such as the Tournament of the Realm or the Barons Tournament.
The Premium Membership
-Receive the annual premium membership package.
-Able to attend a Quest for the Cross event.
-Receive annual Challenge beads.
-Participate in the Bead Challenges.
-Apply for advancement levels and charter of arms.
-Serve in leadership roles above the local household.
-Participate in state and national level events such as the Tournament of the Realm or the Barons Tournament.
-Access to all restricted media for active premium members of Men of Iron.
As a member, you will be able to participate in member only events such as the Quest for the Cross, Tournament and other special members only events.
The annual membership period for Men of Iron runs from October 1st through September 30th . The membership package for each year ends June 30th each year. After that date, the membership package items for that year cannot be guaranteed. Memberships received after July 1 will be considered part of the next year’s membership package available after October 1. More about the Premium Membership Package
Members of Men of Iron must meet two basic requirements to qualify for membership:
- Must be a believer in Christ according to the instructions given to us in the book of Romans, chapter 10 verse 9 &10: “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” Romans 10:9-10
- Be a man or young man that falls into one of the following categories:
-Young men in the 9th grade-12th grade and approved by their pastor.
-Young men who have graduated high school and have entered college, trade school, the military, or have entered the workforce and are approved by their pastor.
-Men of the church who are approved by their pastor, have a desire to work with high school and college age young men and are willing to serve as mentors to the younger men. These men can be members of the church, leaders in the local youth group, mid week discipleship ministries, or other ministry in their church.
An additional requirement for those over 18 is to complete a state and federal criminal background check. Because we work with youth under 18 this is a must for their safety and for those of our older members.
Once all of the requirements are met, download the Men of Iron Membership Application, fill it out completely and send it to the National Men of Iron as per the instructions on the application. After processing you will receive your annual membership package for the current year.
Premium Membership Package
The annual premium membership package is an assortment of various promotional items that will change from year to year that are sent to each new and renewing member of Men of Iron.
